Here’s the Anime Woman You’d Be, Based On Your Myers-Briggs® Personality Type
Over the last few years I’ve grown to love the dramatic and artistic world of Japanese animation. Anime has a way of sucking you in and making you feel like you’re part of the story. The drama, emotional intensity, epic battles, and inner personal struggles of the characters are usually deeply moving and graphically mesmerizing.
Unfortunately a lot of anime females are cookie-cutter characters with very little personality beyond being cute, nondescript, or some form of cheerleader. But every now and then you come across an anime woman who is different; someone with a complex personality that feels real.
So which anime girl would you be? Read on to find out!

Here’s the Anime Girl You’d Be, Based On Your Myers-Briggs® Personality Type
The ENFP – Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon
“You can’t judge how beautiful a girl really is by the way she looks.” – Usagi Tsukino
If you’re an ENFP, chances are good that you can relate to the struggles of Usagi Tsukino. Like Usagi, ENFPs are idealists who see the world through the eyes of possibility and potential. You are creative, expressive, and always looking for new ways to capture meaning and purpose in life, not just for yourself but for others. You’re also incredibly compassionate and fiercely loyal to the people you love. Also like most ENFPs, you can get so caught up in the world of ideas that you loses touch with your surroundings and makes clumsy errors on occasion. Usagi isn’t someone who gets stuck on appearances; she cares little about external looks and instead tries to find the inner core of who someone is. That’s probably something you try to do also!

If you’re an ENTP, then you know that the world is a constantly changing and dynamic place. Like Hange Zoe, you are always seeking out new ideas and possibilities, exploring every nook and cranny for hidden knowledge. You’re also quick-thinking and adaptable, able to come up with creative solutions on the fly. You’re curious and inquisitive, always asking questions and looking for new ways to test the boundaries. However, you can also be impulsive and reckless at times, which can lead you into dangerous situations.

The INFP – Shizuku Tsukishima from Whisper of the Heart
“There’s always a voice inside me that says, ‘Things won’t go that smoothly.'” – Shizuku Tsukishima
A daydreamer and idealist, Shizuku Tsukishima is the perfect embodiment of the INFP personality type. Like Shizuku, INFPs are gentle, introspective souls who care deeply about fulfilling their unique purpose in the world. They are drawn to the world of the imagination and seek out creative means to bring their inner world to life in the outer world. Shizuku longs to be a writer and follows her dreams despite the challenges and setbacks she faces. Along the way she meets a mysterious boy who keeps checking out all the library books she chooses. The mystery blossoms into a beautiful friendship.

The INTP – Tsuyu Asui “Froppy” – My Hero Academia
“It doesn’t matter how righteous our feelings are.” – Tsuyu Asui
Like most INTPs, Tsuyu knows the importance of careful analysis, even in the midst of a crisis. No matter how high the emotional intensity might be she manages to keep a cool head. She’s able to see all sides of a situation and find the most logical solution. Like many INTPs, she can seem aloof and blunt, but everyone knows she’d do anything to protect her friends. In an anime full of emotionally intense and bombastic characters, Froppy is refreshingly steady and level-headed.

The ENFJ – Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club
“If we had all the answers, wouldn’t the world start to lose its meaning?” – Monika
Smart and confident, Monika has a strong grasp on the interpersonal dynamics between people. She has a strong group focus and is highly attuned to the emotions of her club mates. Like many ENFJs, she has a gift for diffusing conflict and creating an overall sense of harmony. At times, she can behave in unhealthy ways; to manipulate or coerce. But most of the time she is considerate, thoughtful, and visionary.

The ENTJ – Eris Boreas Greyrat from Mushoku Tensai: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu
“Death is nothing, but to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily.” – Eris Boreas Greyrat
Noble and determined, Eris Boreas Greyrat is a strategic genius and master sword fighter. Like most ENTJs, she’s a born leader with a clear vision for her life. She knows what she wants and she goes after it with all her heart. She’s also fiercely independent and doesn’t take kindly to anyone trying to tell her what to do. However, her single-minded determination can sometimes lead her to be too rash and impulsive. She may also repress many of her deeper emotions and in her effort to always be strong she sometimes doesn’t give herself healthy time to process trauma. This can result in violent outbursts and fits of rage.

The INFJ – Tamayo from Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
“You still use…the term “person”…to refer to even a transformed demon. And you’re trying to save him. Allow me, then, to lend you a hand.” – Tamayo
Wise and compassionate, Tamayo is an INFJ who yearns to make the world a better place. Like many INFJs, she’s deeply empathetic and can sense the emotions of those around her. She’s also a gifted healer and uses her knowledge to help others. Her intuition allows her to foresee very specific events coming to fruition and she can navigate people’s emotions and speak to them in a way that can make them reveal their deepest secrets. Yet even though she’s attuned to peoples’ needs and emotions, she often maintains a quiet and knowing demeanor.

The INTJ – Kurisu Makise from Steins;Gate
“I am a scientist, I have to act on my own theory. I can’t let my emotions get in the way. But it’s impossible to forget everything… because I’ve known you for longer than we’ve lived. This is reality. This is the world.” – Kurisu Makise
Serious and contemplative, Kurisu is a genius who graduated from university at the early age of seven. As a member of the Brain Science Institute, she and Okabe work to create a revolutionary time machine. Along the way, Kurisu helps Okabe manage the logistics of getting back and forth and trying to save lives. Like many INTJs, Makise is focused, curious, and armed with a dry wit. She rarely flies into a panic and enjoys theorizing about the scientific nature of things. As an example, when she’s kissing someone she hypothesizes about Einstein’s theory of relativity rather than staying in the moment and enjoying the kiss for what it is.

The ESFP – Sasha Braus from Attack on Titan
“You seriously don’t know why human beings eat potatoes.” – Sasha Braus
Friendly and fun-loving, Sasha Braus is a fierce warrior and a true food connoisseur. She brings the humor, capriciousness, and fun into an otherwise serious, somber series. Even though she can be impulsive and food-obsessed, she’s also clever, quick to respond to a crisis, and grounded in the reality of her environment. Even when times get hard she’s thinking about the next opportunity she can enjoy; even if it’s just a delicious meal. She embodies the “champion” ESFP well, risking her life to protect others on many occasions.

The ESTP – Tsunade from Naruto
“And it’s true that I’m a woman… but I’m definitely not a weak woman… What I inherited from my grandfather isn’t just simple ‘power’. My true strength comes from that which was passed down from the First to each generation afterward… Don’t underestimate the Will of Fire!” – Tsunade
Passionate and intimidating, Tsunade is a powerful Hokage and skilled warrior. Like many ESTPs, she’s bold and daring. She’s not afraid of risks and prefers blunt truth to meek pleasantries. Her risk-taking nature can be both good and bad. At times she can jump in at just the right moment in battle, at other times, she risks it all in a bad gambling habit. Like many ESTPs, Tsunade has her own internal set of logical principles. She cares less about rules than many other Hokage before her and aims to be strong and impenetrable.

The ISFP – Ai Ohto from Wonder Egg Priority
“Crosswalks are still scary even when you move with the crowd. I’m done pretending not to see.” – Ai Ohto
Ai Ohto is a walking contradiction. She’s an ISFP who longs for companionship but also wants to be left alone. She’s someone grappling with guilt and a hesitancy to trust others or express herself. And she’s a girl with a big heart who’s been hurt by the world so keeps it shielded. If you’re an ISFP, you’ll relate to Ai’s gentle, introspective nature. But you’re not a doormat either. You can be fiercely independent and have a strong sense of right and wrong. When Ai witnesses something unjust, she’s not afraid to speak up or take action. Even if it means she’s standing alone.

The ISTP – Shiki Ryougi from Kara no Kyoukai
“Everything in existence has a flaw. Not to mention humans, but air, will, and even time. It’s natural to have an end if it has a beginning.” – Shiki Ryougi
Watchful and mysterious, Shiki Ryougi is skilled at keeping her emotions hidden and her mind focused on what’s in front of her. While she appears detached and reserved, she can be surprisingly fierce in battle and has a tendency to seek out action. Like many Sensing-Perceivers, she knows how to go with the flow of what’s happening around her and becomes irritated if life is not challenging mentally or physically. When Ryougi’s emotions come to the surface, she often doesn’t know how to deal with them or express them. Many ISTPs feel perfectly competent in the world of action and logic but feel more insecure when it comes to expressing their nuanced emotions.

The ESFJ – Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket
“It’s not always easy to see the good in people. In some people, you might even doubt that it’s there at all. But if you can somehow, find a way to believe…sometimes that’s all it takes to help someone, to give them the strength to find the good in themselves.” – Tohru Honda
Kind-hearted and always willing to lend a helping hand, Tohru Honda is the perfect example of an ESFJ. She’s selfless and nearly always puts the needs of others above her own. Even when she’s going through tough times, she’s always trying to make everyone around her comfortable and happy. Like many ESFJs, Honda has a knack for practical skills. She doesn’t shy away from hard work and is often busy housekeeping, cooking, and working as an office-janitor to pay her tuition fees. While Honda is gentle and nurturing of others, she hates the idea of burdening anyone with her own troubles. She strives to be independent but still manages to see the interconnectedness of all people.

The ESTJ – Nobara Kugisaki from Jujutsu Kaisen
“Be happy, boys, I’m the woman in your group.” – Nobara Kugisaki
Feisty and pragmatic, Nobara has no time to waste on nonsense or ineptitude. Her sharp-tongue can give people the impression she doesn’t care, but she’s actually deeply loyal and protective. She tries to hide her emotions, especially the sad ones, by working hard and focusing on the next task. She’s a woman not to be trifled with. Her direct, focused, and rational mindset keep her ahead of the game in many attacks. On top of that, her sassy sense of humor makes her an entertaining character to observe!

The ISFJ – Yachi Hitoka from Haikyuu!!
“If I hadn’t become a manager, I wouldn’t have been able to watch today’s matches, wouldn’t have been so excited and flustered, or so happy when you won, and my heart wouldn’t have felt so warm. It’s all because I watched each of you work so hard to do something you couldn’t before…If I hadn’t been here, I would have never had that experience. So, thank you.” – Yachi Hitoka
Timid and gentle, Yachi Hitoka doesn’t believe in herself or her abilities when she first joins the Karasuno High volleyball team as manager. But her attention to detail and persistent, responsible nature quickly prove to be useful assets. She has a knack for organization and noticing the emotional and physical needs of her players. Yet, like many ISFJs, her imagination can overwhelm her with worst-case scenario possibilities when she’s stressed. Because of her skill with people and her attention to their needs and feelings, she creates a sense of unity and harmony among the Karasuno players.

The ISTJ – Violet Evergarden from Violet Evergarden
“Dead people receive more flowers than living ones because regret is stronger than gratitude.” – Violet Evergarden
A former soldier who was enlisted in the Leidenschaftlich army, Violet Evergarden is one of the most iconic ISTJs in the anime world. Dedicated, persistent, and dignified, every decision she makes is deliberate. More than anything, she longs to understand the meaning of the words “I love you,” spoken to her by her dear friend Gilbert. She wants to understand what it truly means to love another person. Like most ISTJs, Violet is straightforward, blunt, and honest, but she has a great deal of heart as well (although many fail to see it). She has empathy and feels responsible for other people’s suffering. Beneath her stoic exterior is someone who contemplates what her values really are. She is driven by her convictions, even if it makes her seem tactless, strange, or even eccentric.
